Tail Strike Reported on Turkish Airlines Aircraft in Prague

Turkish Airlines flight #TK1771 from Istanbul to Prague, operated by Airbus A321neo (reg. TC-LSL), reportedly experienced a tail strike during landing at Prague Airport. The aircraft initiated a go-around and safely landed on its second attempt.

Due to the incident, the return flight #TK1772 from Prague to Istanbul was cancelled. A replacement aircraft (TC-LTM), also an A321neo, will operate the flight under a new flight number #TK6886 to bring the passengers to Istanbul.

“Just to let you know that the Turkish guys that were landing ahead of us, they had a tail strike. I don’t know if they are aware of that.”
⏩️Tower (to another aircraft): “Luxor 5 Kilo Papa, go around. The previous aircraft had a tail strike upon landing, so go around.”
➡️Pilot: “Go around, Luxor 5 Kilo Papa.”
